This project was nominated by my TA, Megan, as one of the standout projects in Com Arts 200 for Fall Semester 2018 to be featured on the Digital Studies Instagram account.

Statement of Purpose

The intended audience of my video is Youtube watchers who are interested in vegan baking and looking for tips on how to become a better vegan baker. The goal of my video is for these people to subscribe/follow my Youtube channel and interact with me and my content via Youtube videos and comments. By following my channel, I can assume that they see me as credible. This video is an introduction in which I introduce myself for a channel that I post baking tutorials and other vegan baking commentary. In order for the people on youtube to see me as credible and knowledgeable about vegan baking, I tell them about my history with baking in general and how I got to discover and master the art of vegan baking. I made sure to film the video in my kitchen and place baking paraphernalia around me (rolling pin, flour, baking powder, pans and dough) as visual cues to the viewer that I am really who I say I am. I also add video of baking processes over myself talking.
