Layout editor
As Layout Editor of UW Madison's literary and arts magazine, Illumination, I designed the editorial spread for Fall 2019 and Spring 2020. In Spring 2020 I was the Editor-in-Chief in addition to being the Layout Editor. Under my tenure as Editor-in-Chief, the publication was named as a finalist for the Associated College Press 2020 Magazine Pacemaker Awards for our Spring 2020 edition.
To design these spreads, I did extensive research on magazine print layout practices and formatting. To get inspired I would create mood boards full of eclectic layouts and fonts, while also paging through vintage magazines for inspiration. I started each page with a 2D sketch and then used Adobe InDesign, Photoshop and Illustrator.

TEXTILE
LAYOUT
I chose to present my crochet projects in a creative way by creating unique graphic images. After I finished the physical piece, I photographed it and brought it into Adobe Photoshop and Illustrator.
dance
party
Inspired by fan edits of celebrities, I created edits of myself and my friends using Adobe Photoshop and Illustrator.
art
specialist
As the Art Specialist at Camp Tavor for 4 years, I created a body of promotional material including camp T-shirts, songbook covers, murals and more. Each project began with a sketch, and then I would bring my sketches into Adobe Illustrator to map out the project. Occasionally. I would have a brief of what was needed from the design, but mostly I had full creative control from brainstorming ideas and aesthetics, to completing the design. For the bigger murals, I had the campers fill in the sketch like 'paint by numbers'.

bar
mitzvah
For my brother's Bar Mitzvah, my parents hired me to create invitations for the service and the party as well as the party favor design and thank you cards. For the service, my parents provided the text and asked that the card remain simple yet classic. Inspired by the magazine Thrasher, I made the card and party favors tailored to my brother's favorite activity, skateboarding. I used mostly Adobe Illustrator to create these designs. For the vintage looking photo of my brother I used Adobe Photoshop.
